Now I don’t want you to think I’m a packet addict but I have once again tried out a packet mix that I found in the supermarket. With hindsight, had I checked the ingredients and what I needed to add to the packet, I would have seen that this is essentially a packet of flour and I should have just bought the raw ingredients as that would have been much cheaper per. dough ball. You live and learn.
These dough balls are a Brazilian recipe which I have made from scratch a few years ago and they are fabulous if you’re on a gluten free diet because they’re meant to be gluten free, rather than being a substitute. They have a totally gorgeous texture, which is crispy on the outside and gooey / cheesy / delightfully doughy on the inside. Such a good canapé!
There are a few simple ingredients involved and combination of them is easy, too. I think this packet came from Morrison’s, so you might want to grab one for yourself as a starting point or you can just look up a recipe for Pão de queijo online and get cracking. Either way, super easy and bloomin’ LUSH!
Just look at the goodness in those pictures! These would be perfect for a dinner party and you need never share how simple they are to make 🙂
